Brett Haddoak is a lifelong Santa Clarita Valley resident, software engineer, and founder of Oakworks Software, LLC. He is a candidate for Santa Clarita City Council District 2 in 2026. Brett Haddock and his wife Rachelle Lyman changed their surnames to Haddoak when they married, combining their names as a tribute to the native oak trees of the Santa Clarita Valley. He previously ran for Santa Clarita City Council as Brett Haddock in 2016 and 2018.

Brett Haddoak's priorities for Santa Clarita include: advancing sustainable water practices by establishing development standards that require recycled water for landscape irrigation in all new residential and commercial construction where recycled water infrastructure exists or is being extended as part of the development; pressing for a full-service hospital in the Santa Clarita Valley to end residents' dependence on distant trauma centers; addressing homelessness through expanded shelter capacity and service coordination, building on over 1,000 volunteer hours at Bridge to Home since 2015; and ensuring new development serves existing residents rather than outpacing infrastructure.
